Accelerator

The Accelerator shows what is slowing down your computer and solves it with one click: close what is consuming memory for nothing, close programs that were left open hidden and delete the garbage that the tools keep on the disk without you knowing.

It was made for those who use our tools on a daily basis. Downloading videos, assembling projects and automating the browser leaves residues: copies of programs that no one has closed, temporary files of several gigabytes and cache that is never cleaned. After a few weeks, the computer crashes and no one knows why.

You don't need to install anything else. It doesn't ask for an API key, it doesn't ask for a password, it doesn't ask for a license number. You open it and use it.

How to open

1. If you received the folder version: extract all the contents of the compressed file to a folder before use, and then double-click the program. Don't just drag the program out — it needs the files that come with it.
2. If you received the installer: double-click it and follow the wizard. It creates the shortcut on the Desktop and Start menu.
3. The first time Windows may show the warning "Unknown publisher". Click More information and then in Run anyway.

The program opens in its own window. As long as this window is open, the program is on; When you close it, it turns off on its own in a few seconds. An icon also appears next to the clock, in the bottom right corner of the screen, to let you know that it is open — clicking on it reopens the screen or closes the program.

The screen is divided into three tabs

Each tab takes care of a different problem. Next to the tab name appears a number in red with how many problems she encountered. Without a number, everything is fine in there.

The green button for each tab is always visible in the top bar, even when you scroll the list. At the top of the window are three indicators that appear in any tab: free memory, reserved memory and processor usage.

Tab 1 — Memory

Shows the state of the computer now and what it is weighing.

A colorful warning summarizes the situation:

• Green — healthy memory, nothing to do.
• Yellow — tight memory, good time to clean up.
• Red — memory is at its limit, the computer will crash. Clean now.

Below it, five numbers:

• Memory in use — what the programs are actually using right now.
• Free memory — what's left.
• Reserved memory — memory that programs requested for themselves and no one else can use, even if they are not using it. It is this number that crashes the computer when it exceeds the limit, even with free memory appearing in the Task Manager. That's why it exists here: it's the number that Windows hides.
• Locked by drivers — memory that no program is using because a Windows driver has trapped it and won't give it back. Above 4 GB is already a sign of a defect; normal is less than 1 GB.
• Processor — CPU usage now.

"Free up memory now" button — automatically closes only what is marked as Weighing e no window open. A program with a window on the screen never closes on its own: an open window means your work is there. Next to the button, the program tells you how many are weighing and how much can be recovered.

"What's taking up memory" list — one program per line, from the one that weighs the most to the one that weighs the least. The columns are:

• Copies — how many instances of the same program are open. Dozens of copies are usually leftovers that no one closed.
• In use — memory actually in use right now.
• Reserved — separate memory for that program.
• Open for — how long have you been standing?
• Situation — the label that explains what it is.

The situation tags are:

• Weighing — it's consuming too much and there's no window. It's the target of the green button. The line also explains the reason: it reserved too many GB in copies without a window, opened too many copies at the same time, or is a leftover from forgotten automation.
• Normal — is as expected.
• Background Server — database or website server installed on your computer. Keep memory of purpose and no enters automatic cleanup: closing it would take down your local sites and dashboards. It only comes out if you check and confirm.
• Windows — don't touch — is part of the system. It cannot be closed here, not even by mistake.
• X with open window (spared) — has a window on the screen, so it was left out of automatic cleaning.
• The Accelerator depends on this — is the program itself. It never ends by mistake.

To choose your choice, check the boxes for the lines and click Close marked — the button shows how many you scored. If any of the marked ones have an open window or are a background server, the program warns you beforehand, telling you exactly what you will lose, and only continues if you confirm.

When no program is to blame: if the red stripe appears Memory locked by driver, the memory is not holding any programs — a Windows driver has trapped it. In this case, closing programs is no use: just restarting the computer returns this memory. The stripe shows which driver is responsible, when it can be identified.

Tab 2 — Forgotten programs

This is the most annoying and the most invisible problem.

Several tools open in the browser but the program itself runs behind, without a window or icon. You close the tab thinking you've closed the program — and it's still there. The next time you open that tool, it talks to the old copy: the key you just registered doesn't appear, the configuration you changed isn't valid, and it looks like the program is broken. It is the number one cause of support calls.

The flap searches on its own as soon as you open it. She looks at all open communication ports on the computer and finds out who is on the other side. The important thing is that she Call each person by their real name, not by the file name: instead of "python", the name of the tool appears. Under the name it even says where it got that name from, so you can check.

Each line gets a label:

• Forgotten open — no window at all, just holding the door. That's what's important to close. It always appears at the top of the list, already marked.
• Open on screen — it has a window, it is being used.
• Background — program that works windowless in nature (cloud storage, music player, website server). It is not forgotten and it is not marked.
• Windows — system service, left out.

Use Mark all / Deselect all to choose quickly and then click Close the forgotten ones — the button shows how many will close. Each is invited to close alone first, cleanly; only those who don't answer are forcibly closed. If you want to scan again after opening or closing something, click Search again.

The scan can take anywhere from a few seconds to half a minute when the computer is heavily loaded — it asks each open door who is on the other side.

Tab 3 — Disk space

It analyzes itself when you open the tab and shows how much you can recover. It only looks where tools and Windows store junk — it doesn't look through your documents, photos or videos.

The result is separated into groups. Each group shows how much does it take, an explanation in Portuguese of what that is, and a button See what will be deleted with the list item by item. The groups are:

• Artificial intelligence models that the browser downloaded on its own — the browser used by the tools downloads models on its own, up to 4 GB each, one per profile. No tools use these files. It's usually the biggest gain of all.
• Cache of browsers used by tools — saved pages and images to open faster. Deleting does not log you out of any account.
• Videos and audios downloaded by the tools — downloaded excerpts, songs and previews to create your projects. What has already been used is not needed; If you need it again, the tool downloads it again.
• Old browser engine versions — each time Chrome updates, the tools download a new engine. Old versions are left behind and never used again.
• Windows and installer temporary files — leftovers from installation, updates and programs that closed in the middle. Windows doesn't clean this up itself.
• Packages and installers downloaded by development programs — saved copies of things already installed, which only serve to reinstall faster.
• CapCut cache and projects — the cache can go away painlessly, but the projects are your work.

Each group has a risk warning, and it is they who decide what is already marked:

• You can delete — there's no need. It's already marked.
• Can you download it again — disappear now and the tool will download again when needed.
• Contains your work — only disappear if you score, and there's no going back. It is never marked.

Select or unmark the groups you want: the green button follows and shows exactly how much will be released, for example "Free up 8.76 GB". Before deleting, the program asks for confirmation and highlights in red if you marked a group that contains your work.

What is never deleted, under any circumstances: your logins, your passwords, your cookies, your licenses, your favorites and tool settings. File that is being used by an open program is also saved — it is left for the next cleaning.

Buttons at the top of the screen

• Help — opens the summarized manual within the program itself, with everything on this page.
• Bug reporting — generates a file with the program history and saves directly to your Desktop, ready for you to drag to the WhatsApp or support email. It offers to open the folder next. Use it whenever you ask for help: with the report in hand, the problem is resolved much faster.
• End program — turns off the Accelerator immediately, with confirmation. Closing the window has the same effect.

Required API Keys

None. The Accelerator works entirely on your computer and does not communicate with any service on the internet. There is no key to register, there is no key field on the screen and it does not need a connection to work.

Requirements

• Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64 bits.
• You don't need Python, Node, a specific browser or any other program installed.
• You don't need an administrator password to install or use it on a daily basis.
• No internet needed.

Limitations

• Memory locked by driver does not return when cleaned. The program shows the problem and tells you who is responsible, but just restarting the computer returns this memory. No program can do anything different.
• Some programs require administrator permission to close — typically system services and databases. In these cases the warning appears on the screen and nothing is forcibly closed behind your back.
• On heavily loaded computers, reading takes time. When memory is at its limit, Windows itself becomes slow to respond and the scan may take a few seconds longer. It's just the time when you need it most, so it keeps working — just slower.
• Terminating a program is the same as forcefully closing it: what was not saved in it is lost. Save first.

Common errors and how to resolve them

• "I couldn't close it / the program resisted" — that program requires administrator permission. Close the Accelerator, right-click on its shortcut and choose Run as administrator, and try again.
• I clicked "Free up memory now" and it says there is nothing to free — everything is fine. Either the one that is weighing has an open window (and it does not finish its work on its own), or it is a background server, or the memory is trapped by a driver. Check the label for each line in the list.
• Memory remains high after cleaning — look at the card Locked by drivers. If it is above 4 GB, the problem is not with any program: restart the computer.
• A tool of mine swears that it doesn't have a registered key, but I just registered it — it's an open forgotten copy. Open the flap Forgotten programs, close whatever appears with the name of that tool and open the tool again.
• An item was not deleted during cleaning — it was in use by an open program at the time. Close the program that owns the file and analyze it again.
• The program did not open, or opened and closed — check if you extracted all the contents of the compressed file before clicking. Dragging just the program out doesn't work: it needs the files that come with it.
• Windows "Unknown publisher" warning appears — is normal on the first run. Click More information and then in Run anyway.
• Any other problem — click Bug reporting at the top of the screen and send the file that appears on your Desktop to support.
