He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
and rests in the shadow of the Almighty
can say to the Lord:
"You are my refuge and my fortress,
my God, whom I trust".
He will deliver you from the snare of the hunter
and the deadly poison.
He will cover you with his feathers,
and under its wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be his protective shield.
You won’t fear the dread of the night
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the plague that moves sneaky
in the darkness,
nor the plague that ravages at noon.
A thousand may fall beside him;
Ten thousand, to your right,
but nothing will hit him.
You will simply look,
and see the punishment of the wicked.
If you make the Most High your shelter,
of the Lord his refuge,
no harm will come to him,
No disgrace will come to your tent.
Because to his angels he will give orders
about you,
to protect you in all
their ways;
with their hands they will hold you,
so you don’t trip over some rock.
You will tread the lion and the snake;
will trample the strong lion and the serpent.
"Because he loves me, I will rescue him;
I will protect you, for you know my name.
He will cry out to me, and I will answer him,
and in adversity I will be with him;
I will deliver him and cover him with honor.
Long life I will give you,
and show him my salvation."
Therefore, I invite you to explore with me the power and wisdom of Psalm 91. May his words resound in our hearts and inspire us to trust unwaveringly in our God. May we experience peace that exceeds all understanding, knowing that we are protected and loved by our heavenly Father.
